The concert brought together many great artists: Dame Felicity Lott, Renaud Capuçon, Michel Dalberto, Nathanaël Gouin, Marie Kalinine, Léa Sarfati, Helena Ressureição, Natalia Labourdette, Marine Fribourg, the European Union Youth Orchestra (partner of the CEM), Christine Fonlupt, Francisco Soriano. This fascinating conference, moderated by Agnès Terrier, brought together a panel of experts who revealed the details of a little-known musical history.
The Centre Européen de Musique and France Mémoire have gathered specialists and musicians to celebrate Pauline Viardot at the Institut de France on 15 October 2021 (photos below). Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture and Youth said in her opening message: "Pauline Garcia Viardot was an embodiment of the European Union of culture before its time [...] the reopening of the Villa Viardot, planned for spring 2022 during the French Presidency of the European Union, and the opening of the Centre Européen de Musique will seal the place of Pauline Viardot's legacy".
On the occasion of the European Heritage Summit in Venice, organised by Europa Nosta, Jorge Chaminé delivered, on 24 September 2021, a powerful plea for a Europe of culture and the establishment of the Centre Européen de Musique.
Jorge Chaminé, president and founder of the Centre Européen de Musique, defended the Europe of culture and music as the European identity par excellence.
