The CEM had the pleasure of taking part in the Tune-In symposium, organised by the Geelvinck Museum in cooperation with the International Music Council, the Utrecht Early Music Festival, REMA – European Early Music Network, and the Centre Européen de Musique – Via Musica.
The purpose of this event was to bring together cultural professionals working in the fields of early, classical, and world music to explore new strategies for inclusion, access, and audience engagement.
Tune-In 2025 brought together musicians, festival directors, cultural entrepreneurs, and scholars from around the world to exchange ideas and inspire fresh approaches in the field of early music. Over three dynamic days, the programme offered keynote presentations, panel discussions, and practical workshops addressing topics such as innovation in outreach activities, responsible marketing, and the future of historical performance.
Musical interludes on rare historic instruments, networking opportunities, and a closing Fringe Recital—part of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht—created a vibrant setting for creativity, collaboration, and the celebration of early music.
The CEM took part in an expert panel on the theme Engage & Inspire: Rethinking Outreach Strategies.
True to its mission, the CEM remains committed to promoting and supporting the work of Tune-In and the Geelvinck Museum in preserving, enhancing, and passing on a heritage at risk of disappearing.
