VIA SCARLATTI deepens our knowledge of Scarlatti’s relationship and impact on Italy, Portugal, Spain and France as well as the geographical, social and cultural influences of these counties on his music. It also aims to reveal many other little-known dimensions of his significance in many areas.
Based on the 4 pillars of the scientific and cultural project of the CEM (creation, education, transmission and innovation), VIA SCARLATTI establishes a dialog involving creators, researchers and institutions transversally between these four countries and develops actions in each country on a national and local level.
It create a network and a framework of action revealing the tangible and intangible heritage of Scarlatti as a major and rich material to share today between all generations in the most versatile ways to project innovative approaches that connects it with today’s society.
The Via Scarlatti project launched on the 29th of April 2025 in Mafra the first international think thank dedicated to Scarlatti
