The European Heritage Hub has submitted a formal letter to Mr Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, urging stronger recognition of cultural heritage within the forthcoming Culture Compass and the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). This contribution, developed with the support of the entire European Heritage Hub Consortium — comprising 20 major actors in the field — underscores the central role of cultural heritage in shaping a more cohesive, sustainable, and democratic Europe.
It is with great honour and pleasure that we inform you that this joint letter from the European Heritage Hub, of which the CEM is a co-founder, has been sent to European Commissioner Micallef on behalf of the entire consortium, underlining the importance of cultural heritage within the framework of the forthcoming Culture Compass and the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
This information has also been shared publicly through our channels and newsletter, and we encourage you to share it with your audience and network, and to use it for awareness-raising purposes. It is indeed crucial that European institutions and civil society join forces so that Europe can meet today’s and tomorrow’s challenges on the one hand, and that music is increasingly recognised for its unique ability to build bridges between tangible and intangible heritage on the other.
